I am shamelessly exposed,

To everyone who hates you

Like a Chinese leprechaun.

The many metaphors for white,

The desert of some mother's thigh,

Renders you inert, your heart is bound.

The many metaphors for night,

The splendor that you see,

Reflected on another lover's sound.

Smiling in a stadium,

A hero's court of retribution,

Each note a flurry of attrition,

Against another lover lost and found.

Again agape, with intuition,

Fearing, courting dissolution,

Each note a flurry of illusion,

Wracked against another wall and falling to the ground.

Walk amongst the steel trees,

Enact a mad man's fantasies,

Remember who you think you are,

And who you'll never be.

Now think of me.
